Privacy policy
Last updated: October 23, 2026
Preliminary version. It may change before launch; if it does, we’ll update the date on this page.
This policy explains what personal data Nuvet processes, the software for veterinary clinics available at getnuvet.com and app.getnuvet.com, and how it protects it.
Who is responsible for each piece of data
Nuvet is responsible for user account data: name, email, and encrypted password. The data each clinic enters about its pet owners and patients belongs to that clinic, which decides how it is used; Nuvet processes it on the clinic’s behalf and only to provide the service.
What data we process
- Account data: name, email, encrypted password, and the clinics you belong to.
- Data entered by the clinic: pet owners (name, phone numbers, email, and address), patients, appointments, visits, vaccines, and attached files.
- Technical data: access and error logs, without the clinical content of requests.
What we use it for
- Providing the service: scheduling, medical records, vaccines, and reminders.
- Sending the reminders the clinic configures to its pet owners, by email or, for those who opted in, by WhatsApp.
- Keeping the service secure, investigating errors, and providing support.
We do not sell data or use it for advertising.
Who we share it with
Only with the providers we need to operate, each limited to its task:
- Hetzner: servers where the application and the database run, in the United States.
- Cloudflare: network, protection, and private storage for attached files.
- Resend: sending email.
- Meta (WhatsApp Business): sending reminders over WhatsApp.
- Sentry: logging technical errors.
How we protect it
Each clinic’s data is isolated in the application and in the database. Connections are encrypted, backups are encrypted and stored away from the main server, and every clinical change is logged with its author and date.
How long we keep it
For as long as the clinic’s account is active. If the clinic leaves the service, it can ask us for a copy of its data and for its deletion. Database backups are deleted automatically when their retention period ends, 30 days at most.
Your rights
You can ask for access to, correction of, or deletion of your data by writing to hola@getnuvet.com. If you are the owner of a patient, your clinic is the one that manages your data: write to them first and we will help them respond to you.
This site
getnuvet.com uses no analytics or third-party trackers. We choose the page language based on the country the visit comes from and your browser’s language; that data is used on the spot and is not stored. If you change the language with the switch, we save your choice in a single functional cookie (nuvet-lang, one year) to remember it; it is not used to identify or track you. If you pick the light or dark theme with the button in the header, your choice stays in your browser’s local storage (nuvet-theme); it is not sent to any server.
